Toilet Signs
Thursday, 3 April 2025Far be it from me to be Anti-Woke, although in an all gender toilet in a restaurant in Bali recently an informal poll (somebody else was taking it) there was general agreement that the women would prefer a women’s toilet and the men would prefer a men’s. If there had been people of trans-gender and indeterminate sex persuasion in the admittedly small sample the vote might have been different?
Then, back in Melbourne I encountered these signs for the toilets in the VicScreen office, which seemed possibly confusing to people for whom English is not their first language. So here’s my translation in case you encounter similarly confusing signs:

= Men
